It's a new year and I'm a little late on the news. The current Dot Combat project is now being sourced to Game Maker Studio. This is not going to be a direct port. The game is being completely rewritten and optimized for its full potential. The current version of Dot Combat is written in a mix of DnD and GML making workflow painstakingly slow. The source over will allow a tons of new things and faster updates (I mean fast) The current version of Dot Combat will forever be up for download. The new project is named Dot Combat Operation Juggernaut and will only be available on Steam through the workshop of the Game Maker Studio just for the time being. Once most of the basic systems and functionality of the game are developed to a higher extent they will of course be for download here. Although.... there is a huge fucking list of transgressions I need to sort through.

Not much progress the past month as I've been busy with things. Getting ready to finalize the last 2 tanks that will be added. 2 new gun in-placements have been added, just not to the vendors or inventory. Hope whoevers reading will stick around.

Version 0.91.10 is finally here. A couple new features you can read on the version list on the right side menu bar. Was just playing Diablo 2 talking about a game concept and so I decided it was time to upload.

Yes it's been a while, Dot Combat almost seems abandoned, but its not. So I'm going to be posting a News Section on the Home Page of the site to show some more activity and progress of Dot Combat.
The new version is going to have a lot of game-breaking-bugs fixed, such as the error on loading a saved game. This issue should be completely fixed once and for all on the next release. Also the ENTIRE sound system has been rewritten using the Caster DLL, so no more crashes on Windows 8. This also means all sounds are loaded externally from .OGG making the sounds modifiable if wished.
A lot has been going on with Dot Combat so don't worry, all is going very smooth as Dot Combat enters it's Dev. stage. Also thanks everyone for the support.
